  1. Still no Scott County

  2. With the regular caveat about Monday numbers, the stable positivity rate is encouraging. Need to keep pounding the message and enforcing the phase 4 restrictions.

  5. R) and positivity rates looking good. Bit of an uptick in new cases but within range. Hope the Wrigleyville bar crowds don’t mess things up.

  6. =Hope the Wrigleyville bar crowds don’t mess things up.=

    Sorry, but they probably will.
Outdoor dining, six feet apart is a stretch.
Indoor drinking/dining is just asking for trouble.

  7. After being in Wisconsin this weekend, I have renewed appreciate for our indoor face mask order. It is spotty up there at best. Here’s hoping we don’t mess this up.

  8. I really wish IDPH would track active cases. Telling us how many people have been infected over the last six months is a useless metric. I want to know how many people have it in my community now.

  9. Agree with Downstate Illinois. The Sangamon County DPH web site https://scdph.org lists the number of recovered cases (defined as someone who tested positive more than 42 days ago and is not dead) allowing for this calculation: Positive tests 405 minus 33 dead minus 329 recovered = 43 active cases.

  10. The IDPH site

    http://www.dph.illinois.gov/topics-services/diseases-and-conditions/diseases-a-z-list/coronavirus

    says 142,461 confirmed cases, 6,902 deaths and a recovery rate of 94%. So, (142,461 minus 6,902) X 6% = 8,134 active cases?

It says that the “Recovery rate is calculated as the recovered cases divided by the sum of recovered cases and deceased cases.” Which I don’t think makes sense. Does it?

Champaign County does the calculation. 100 active cases.

  12. I have a strong feeling that were going to be regretting the expansion to phase 4 in about 1 month.

The writing is on the wall and face mask use has become pathetic. Everyone had one job and failed it.

  13. “Which I don’t think makes sense. Does it?”
Yes, it does. It’s the ratio of people confirmed positive who haven’t died to the total number of people confirmed positive.
