  6. There’s a little lack spot on the sun today…

But momma; that’s where the fun is.

Cold-hearted orb, that rules the night; removes the colors from our sight.

Red is gray, and yellow, white.
But we decide which is right…

    And which is an illusion.

  7. Just saw a partial (Chicago) (with eclipse glasses), but it was cool. A neighbor came out also and I thought we were going to share a moment…but he just began mowing his lawn. I mean, I guess that’s not wrong to do, necessarily, but…not even a moment to appreciate a natural event? Seemed strange.

  9. Atleast LilRascal is consistent.

I can’t stand the anti-vaxxers that complain about migrant outbreaks.

  10. Up in the western suburbs we had an unusual way to see the 90 percent eclipse.

My daughter was sitting near a window at home moving her iPhone around, using the sun’s reflected light off the phone’s surface as a way to taunt our cat. As he chased the light, we discovered that reflection was also a perfect showing of the partial eclipse featuring the sliver of the sun around the circle of darkness.

So we got a chance to experience the effect and didn’t have to take the Trump approach and stare up at it!

  16. My office quietly shut itself down for about a half hour thanks to the eclipse. I wish I would have known how many of my coworkers wanted to watch it as I would have pushed for a work-picnic day.
