  1. Border Bailey visited the area last night, along with Wilhour. Could only draw about 10 folks, wind out his sail.

  2. Here in beautiful DuPage County, I’m caught up in the AT&T cellular blackout this morning. If you try to report the outage to AT&T, you can’t, since that system is also down.

An extra feature is you can’t connect to any system that sends a code to your cell phone as a 2nd security step.

    Fun, fun, fun.

  3. Today’s Trib editorial has Willie Wilson bemoaning the state of Chicago and Illinois’ pensions, repeating the old chestnuts of ‘unions bad’, switch to 401Ks’, and ’sanctuary cities’ (exclamation point).

  4. The weather’s sure nice.

(Or it would be if I didn’t recognize it as a sign of the climate apocalypse.)

  5. ComEd’s updated billing system (and app) was available briefly when I checked it but now it is back to unavailable. This is now the 3rd day since they were supposed to have their billing system updates finished. They have updated their maintenance message in the last few days saying in part “Please note, customers will not be charged any late fees and will not be disconnected for non-payment while our systems are unavailable”.

  6. “Cellular network not available.” First time this has happened. I thought they told me if the phone couldn’t get a signal, it would jump into roaming mode and connect to other companies towers. That also is not working.

  7. I learned Roz Varon will be retiring after 35 years as traffic reporter at WLS 7.
Due to my early interest in the news and my quirky memory, I remember her first day. I was a freshman in high school.

There’s always wifi if you can access a cable system. You will may have to go into your phone settings and enable WiFi calling.
