U.S. Steel. We expected something was coming and yet it hits so hard after all the efforts to keep them going in Granite City - a town struggling enough without this loss.

State Bureaucracy

My wife created a reading project to gather books, clean them, and then give them to prisons, jails, children’s homes, etc.

The state is now expecting her to create a spreadsheet with ISBNs, fair market value, titles, authors, etc.

So much for giving to and helping the incarcerated. What once was a gift has now become a literal job (a couple thousand books).

Not just Illinois but Comcast Xfinity is finally coming clean about the data breach that for the last week I had suspected they had. Was forced to reset passwords which I’ve never had them do before. I guess it happened back in October.
