Got an email from Ameren, explaining changes in Terms and Conditions. Found this little gem:

“Revising our process for resolving disputes you might have with us, including a new required arbitration process and waiver of the right to bring a class action lawsuit.”

The Commerce Commission allows this? Even Milton Friedman agreed that with physical utilities (electricity, gas, water, sewer, etc.) there is no competition, so I can’t choose a new gas utility.

Just to clarify, the Ameren Terms and Conditions appear to only appear to apply to the use of their website, not to the gas and electric service itself.
