  10. When the alarm on my phone went off this I noticed I had a message from the SOS that I had an appointment to go for a driving test to renew my DL. First thought was Groundhog Day since I went last Friday. Second was to check my wallet to make sure the temporary DL I got last week was actually there, it was. It took forever to book online. Now I’m wondering if I have a permanent appointment every Friday.

  12. ===Now I’m wondering if I have a permanent appointment every Friday.===

    Could be a lucrative item on the secondary market. Book a bunch of appointments and offer them for re-sale to the highest bidder.

    Nobody ever went broke scalping high demand tickets.

  13. 47th Ward - Dadgumit (and other authentic frontier gibberish). Why didn’t I think of that before I cancelled today’s appointment for fear they’d pull my DL. If I get another notification next Friday I’ll see what I can get for it and send you a finder’s fee.

  14. McLean County Republicans acting just as entitled to power as the rest of the GOP.

    Even though remote voting has been allowed for members in the past the GOP made a last minute rule change to block a Dem county board member from voting at a meeting to replace the GOP County Board chairman who is resigning with the vice chair who is a Dem. That had been set up under a power sharing agreement reached after the last election resulted in a 10-10 split on the board.

    But Republicans don’t know how to share.

  15. If anyone has a recommendation for which communications consultant to hire because of the scandal caused by the last communications consultant you hired now is a good time to make it.
