  2. At least it was an entertaining atmosphere under Bill Veeck. Now we get the high-hatted Reinsdorf experience. THey won the World Series because the rotation was unbelievably tough during the playoff run. Last two years have been the most disappointing (because of high hopes) seasons in my 66 year old life.

  3. With Robert Jr being injured in the Home Run Derby, you can’t accuse the 2023 White Sox of being off-brand.

  9. Does anyone remember when, during the pandemic republicans were running around saying “my body, my choice”? You mean to say they really didn’t mean that?

===I’ve never liked that we allow semis to park on exit ramps.===

I’ve never liked that semis are FORCED to park on
on the shoulders of exit ramps, because of inadequate parking in rest areas. IDOT needs to expand the rest areas. This accident was clearly the fault of the bus, likely due to driver fatigue. If a truck driver feels fatigued, they can stop and rest, then continue after resting. A bus driver on the other hand is forced to continue on even if they become too tired to drive. Bus companies should have a responsibility to provide a relief driver on long overnight runs. The technology exists to sense when a driver is starting to fall asleep while driving. A camera is focused on the driver’s eyes and a computer sees it and shakes the steering wheel and sounds an alarm. This alerts the driver to pull over ASAP and take a rest. That should be standard equipment on any new long-haul trucks and buses.

  13. More baseless anti-trans hysteria at Kerasotes. A presser is planned by the bathroom bigots for tomorrow at Rotary Park. Gonna be fun.
