  2. Rain. Surprising rain.

  3. A driver in a stolen car ran a stoplight and T-boned another vehicle in Vermillion county, killing a teenage couple who were driving home from a trip to the zoo. The driver of the stolen car also died. This is a tragedy. The increase in auto theft needs to be taken extremely seriously. These are not victimless property crimes.

  6. A lot of state contracts expire every year on June 30? What’s different about this year?

  7. Gotta ask-

There are no shortage of vendors who will take a contract with the state.

Contrary to popular belief, many have no problem not getting paid on time as the interest makes it well worth their wait.

  8. A very nice day here in beautiful DuPage County, although it’s expected to be pretty toasty by mid-afternoon. A little preview of July…

  11. Why is it taking so long for new laws to be assigned Public Act numbers? It seems to be affecting House bills only. For example, the Governor signed the insurance marketplace bill (HB579) 2 days ago, which yesterday was still listed as “Sent to the Governor” but today it’s listed as “Public Act 103-0000″ (impossible) and with the wrong action date. What’s going on over there?
