  1. I can’t remember–my brain is now filled with happiness because of the Oscar pic. What was the question?

  2. Beautiful weather over here. Perfect temperature, sunny, and oodles of pollen - enough to share.

We still have not learned why a McDonough County deputy sheriff ran a car off the road, thereby killing the driver three months ago. All we know now is the name of the driver and the deputy, and the location of the incident. The State’s Attorney indicated a couple weeks ago that he would hand over the investigation to an independent prosecutor, after he received the IL State Police investigation.

Crickets, otherwise. And oodles of pollen to share.

  3. Thanks for the Oscar pic - it’s been a while.

  4. “…and the other dog goes the other way.”

Oscar is a good boy, and a good fella.

Looks like he’s enjoying a breeze right there.

  5. In this part of Illinois, we’re focusing on blooming trees and flowers — and dogs.

  6. I don’t know enough about college football players to judge whether the Bears picked the right guy last night, but it was tough to see the NU kid go the very next pick AFTER the Bears picked.

  7. Mixed responses to the Bears’ 1st round pick. Many wanted DT Jalen Carter. Bears’ quarterbacks often run for their lives due to poor OL protection. Remembering Cutler getting sacked something like nine times in just the first half. Fields can really use good protection.

  8. The State of Illinois is now solely focused on Oscar, nothing else can possibly be happening. I am sure that his agenda of unlimited free treats for all dogs will pass both chambers faster than any bill has before.

  9. In his mind, Oscar is on the bow of the Titanic (having replaced Di Caprio). ( He woke up well before the iceberg incident.)

  11. Fiancee and I recently brought in a rehomed dog, so planning a ‘work’ outside day as we get him adjusted to the new home and yard.

  12. Yay Puppy! Thanks for the Oscar picture. I needed it.

  13. Looks like the weather is gonna be nice enough to get some work done in the yard.

    Rats.

  16. Oscar looks quite happy to be where he is; his fur rustling in the breeze apparently also. I’ve got dog neighbors in the 60827; some barely notice me, a few bark as I walk by their yards just to let me know they saw me, so I say “good watchdog!” Yup, it’s a slow time here in the 60827, as we get 1 to 2 seasons of weather every few days.
