First week of Spring, first week of spring weather here in West Central, IL. Spring brings hope ever time. I am hopeful.

Yesterday we lost former Douglas County Sheriff John Chambers, the last Democrat elected to county wide office. John was a great friend that will be missed my many. He was immortalized in the pre-internet Capitol Fax with a headline that I believe read “Sheriff Faxed UP”.
