  1. There was a little bit of tension involving a Springfield alderman after Tuesday night’s City Council meeting:

  2. @IM

Thanks for the morning round up. I think everyone that watched the “debate” last night is sleeping in. :)

  3. Has anyone else notice that it is increasingly hard to reach House members? When you call their Springfield office it goes to a generic voice mail and you may never hear back. If you go to their office, the legislative assistant may not be there because they are going to committee unlike in the last. Recent, I’ve left notes for several LAs and left voicemails and received zero replies. And, the House is not taking cards when they are on the floor. So, unless you have a member’s personal cell phone number, it’s really hard to even get a message to them - let alone actually speak to them. Maybe members like this. But, this means you cannot help a member with their legislation, even for simple things like alert them to a possible drafting error, give them a fact sheet on something you know they will want to support/oppose, or offer to support them in some other way. It’s incredibly frustrating.

  4. are we calling Vallas Teflon Paul? cause nothing is his fault, no one who is horrible who supports him can be called out, nothing he has said is really what he is about. do people really like this lack of personality guy so much?

  5. The boys state basketball finals kick off today in Champaign. The IHSA’s website is atrocious. It looks the exact same as it did in 2005. Virtually impossible to find the sports info you’re looking for. www.ihsa.org

  6. (Read in the late, great voice of NFL Films John Facenda): “It was a breezy March wind, as the sun filtered through the broken-clouded sky of the 60827.”
Controversy continues in Dolton and Thornton Township as Mayor/Supervisor Tiffany Henyard continues her queen-like reign over both.

  7. Darren Bailey sure is talking a lot about term limits and a 10-year limit for members of Congress. I doubt it is a coincidence that Mike Bost is coming up on 10 years in the HoR. Looks like we
may be seeing the beginnings of Bailey jumping into the primary.

  8. The grandkids just left…what did I miss?

    They do tucker Grandma out.

The parade downtown looks like it dodged wet weather.
