SJR is reporting that due to the ongoing railroad relocation project and the need for overpasses, that Madison and Jefferson will soon be closing for 14 months.

Unfortunately a public safety-related story has been paywalled by Gannett so I didn’t catch any more details. Tasteless way to get people to subscribe to a product which has seen better days and may not exist in its current form in 5 years. Hopefully Illinois Times, WTAX and others will have more details soon.

Sunshine off and on here in beautiful DuPage County today. Not expected to be very warm but no rain (or snow) so that’s a good day for me.

Woke up kinda excited about watching the Frightening Illini play in the Big Ten tournament tonight, then found out they don’t play until tomorrow….

I saw one little gray bird making a valiant effort to sing all by himself in my neighbor’s tree. Hopefully he’ll be joined by friends soon.

@Stuck … Starting April 5th (maybe) Madison and Jefferson will be closed between 9th and 11th for 14 months.
