Can this AI generator predict our tweets?

Posted in:

* I’ve been playing around with a new AI tweet generator this morning

Input any Twitter account and watch the AI write like them.

* @DarrenBaileyIL…

* @JBPritzker…

* @RepKellyCassidy…

* @JohnAmdor…

* @CapitolFax…

* @DanProft…

* @ThomasDeVore76…

Play around with it yourself and tell us the results.

  1. For the record, I have never tweeted about the Boston Celtics, nor do I ever intend to do so.

  4. Curious to know how the AI would handle the SJ-R’s Twitter feed. Maybe it will actually give more informative stories and actually have news compared to their actual print and online product?

  5. Yikes. I wish my tweets were this good.

    “Your task is to write, not publish”

    “Most people don’t actually want to get better at anything”

    “What if no one else ever reads this”

    Comment by John Patterson Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 10:44 am

  6. My AI self is much more philosophical than I am…

    “If everything is a priority, nothing is a priority.”

    “The pursuit of wealth is an unhappy pursuit.”

    “The greater the need, the harder it is to say no to anything.”

  7. Are you sure this isn’t a fortune cookie generator?

    Comment by 47th Ward Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 10:53 am

  8. How did the AI generator digest Bailey’s account and then come up with such succinct tweets?

    Comment by Don't Bloc Me In Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 11:08 am

  9. Lord help me.

    Comment by Blue Dog Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 11:18 am

  10. Now do Trubisky tweets

    Comment by Murph Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 11:23 am

  11. Well the AI drafted tweets were hilariously bad/wrong but this suggested one at least made me laugh:
    “15 min of meditation/yoga/running/swimming/etc. is the best thing you can do for yourself”

    Comment by ChicagoBars Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 11:34 am

  12. I wish you hadn’t shown me this. All my AI tweets were rather depressing. I’m going back to bed.

  13. @realblagojevich….

    “8 ways to become a media mogul:

    1. Own your own platform.
    2. Have an insatiable curiosity.
    3. Be great at something.
    4. Be the voice of authority.
    5. Be a contrarian.
    6. Be a philanthropist.
    7. Be a trendsetter.”

  14. Judging by these examples, the answer to the question in the headline is, “No, not at all, not even a little bit.”

    Comment by Arsenal Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 12:07 pm

  15. I’ll have to play with the generator later, but for old times sake, I found this interesting Twitter handle while searching a moment ago: “Pat Quinn (not that one) (@FHPQuinn).” (This Quinn is with the Winnepeg Capitals).

    I wonder who the “not that one” is referring to? Could it be our illustruous former governor who called himself “Soy Boy?”

    If the judge is asking you a series of questions, it’s often a sign that he doesn’t like the way you’re answering questions.

  17. Going to take this as a sign that I tweet too much, about too many different things. *Shrug*

  18. I’m glad I’m old.

    Comment by Dotnonymous Friday, Nov 4, 22 @ 2:15 pm
