According to their website, Richard is the Democratic County Party Chair for Henderson County. Just a “farmer,” indeed.

I had a statewide organizing gig that heavily involved interacting with the Dem County Chairs. Met a lot of really nice folks while on that job, and I’m glad to say that Mr. Bigger was one of them.
He is choosing every single day to go by this name. He could be choosing Richard, but he isn’t. Kudos

Henderson County always leaves me smiling and satisfied, whether it’s a trip to Biggsville or Stronghurst, venturing down by Oquawka, or finishing up in Lomax. It’s a Raitan experience that leaves me feeling Gladstone.

You’d be surprised. Many of the Chicago voices I follow who were talking about were laughing at the people who referred to it as downstate. I mean anyone who can read a map, can see it’s in western IL and anyone who has driven to IA through IL (or even one of the routes to Nauvoo, IL) would also know that it’s in the west of the state.
