* Oops…

After further investigation, I think it was supposed to be “https://t.co/kDt95ohFTj” and they just botched the end of the url on the sign

  1. At least they spelled Pritzker correctly.

Comment by Dance Band on the Titanic Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:47 pm

  2. Did they play us all?
Maybe more attention for the bad url, than the message itself.

Comment by Bruce( no not him) Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:48 pm

  3. Prolly the same “guy”who painted Bailey’s bus, amirite?

Comment by Oswego Willy Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:52 pm

  4. So small time. Keep at it with the stunts like this, small gatherings, gun raffles, etc. Maybe through in a few bake sales or car washes. All while your opponent is absolutely trashing you with tens of millions in ads.

Comment by Ron Burgundy Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:52 pm

  5. The jokes write themselves.

    Comment by A-Man Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:52 pm

  6. Bruce(no not him) has a point. Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene has made a media career of pretending to be (slightly) less intelligent and literate than she is, for the hate-clicks.

Comment by ZC Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:54 pm

  7. Given Bialey’s delicate sensibilities to any shot in his direction, he really doesn’t want to go there with the classless stuff.

Ibn the other hand, if the last protest is any indicator, the crowd for GOP day can probably fit in a mini-van. So there is that.

Comment by JS Mill Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 2:56 pm

  8. Pictured above: As close as Darren Bailey will get to a reporter who wants to ask questions.

Comment by Roadrager Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:00 pm

  9. My eyesight isn’t great, but it almost looks like that banner reads “fine job Pritzker.”

Comment by MoralMinority Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:02 pm

  10. Most fairgoers would rather focus on their beer and corn dogs.

Comment by Norseman Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:09 pm

  11. Hey with the money he spent on the plane he could have provided gas money to another handful of people to attend his rally.

Comment by Big Dipper Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:12 pm

  12. Bailey can’t get 20 people to walk in the state fair parade with him, thought attending a bizarre rally at the Capitol with 25 people was a good use of time, and now spends money to fly a fire JB banner during the state fair with the wrong URL. I’m not even sure he could beat Sam Cahnman at this point. I’m sure Darren will say the media or Dems took his banner “out of context”. Jeesh.

Comment by Baloneymous Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:15 pm

  13. “Not ready for prime time” comes to mind.

Comment by Sir Reel Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:17 pm

  14. Not buying the .com url did save the Bailey campaign like… 10 bucks. So he’s got that going for him.

Comment by Vote Quimby Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:35 pm

  15. When your communications director is also your crop duster, you are going to have these sorts of things.

Who’s gonna explain to Darren about the .gov url?

Comment by Henry Francis Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 3:44 pm

  16. Well, even if I agreed with the message, I wouldn’t want to replace him with a guy who can’t get simple things done correctly.

So who is Bailey suggesting we replace JB with?

Comment by Chris Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 4:01 pm

  17. == .com ==

Incompetent before; incompetent to ‘lead’ IL now. smh.

    Comment by sal-says Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 4:18 pm

  18. I’d suggest Bailey visit a .edu for 4 years

Comment by Lurker Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 4:26 pm

  19. “Not buying the .com url”

That ship sailed a long time ago. The .com URL was bought back in 2020. It’s probably the same organization that owns both, and supposedly it is paid for by the ILGOP.

But it’s rather telling that any stupid mistakes are now automatically being applied to the Bailey campaign.

    I don’t think that’s a good sign for a campaign, or a party.

Comment by TheInvisibleMan Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 4:47 pm

  20. Jake Lewis 4 Ever

    Love that guy

Comment by Scott Cross for President Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 5:29 pm

  21. They love this kind of corn down at the grain elevator.

Comment by Streator Curmudgeon Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 5:30 pm

  22. They should be thankful someone just parked it.

It could have gone someplace awkward…

Comment by OneMan Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 6:16 pm

  23. The .com looks like it was purchased on 8-12-2022 (wonder when they signed up to have someone do this over the fair).

    The .net is still available.

Comment by OneMan Wednesday, Aug 17, 22 @ 6:27 pm

  24. Did Bailey use his PPP money to pay for this? Asking for a friend
