Grateful for highs in the 80’s this week in Southern Illinois, rather than the 90’s we had the last couple. Hoping it stays around here.

Just like old times. As the all-star game approaches, the Cardinals have settled into their 5-games-over-.500 routine. For a minute, I thought they might surge ahead to, perhaps, 10 games over. But fortunately, they returned to the familiar last week. Each year they race out to 5-games-over-.500 to take first place in all of baseball, and then perch there. But at least we are not that other team, I guess.

Strawman, I mean, *anyone* could have more success with supermajorities. But, you can’t say things weren’t passed AND signed with Pritzker as governor, including budgets.

How the Pritzker Crew handles their political business with Bailey will be the interesting watch, fascinating even.

JB on CNN State of the Union - pushing to ban assault weapons and high capacity-magazines nationally - plus he is highlighting the fact that the colt M&P band “You know what M&P stands for? Military and police, and that’s who, perhaps, should have these weapons, not civilian”. Of course, gun owners and industry folks have known that for decades firearm manufacturers will sell into these markets and eventually sell them into the civilian marketplace. Glock, Colt, Sig they all do it.

Wondering when someone will sue Devore for defamation. It seems anyone who speaks up against him, he sues. I fear what he will do on the taxpayer dollar.
