Corrupt politicians have ruined Illinois and put special interests over people. But I’ve spent my life fighting special interests abd putting the people of Illinois first, I’m Dan Brady, and I’m running for Secretary of State to make government work for you. As Secretary of State, I want to put you first by modernizing your office, reducing wait times and supporting law enforcement. By partnering with the brightest innovators and technology experts, we can make the Secretary of State’s office work for you. Vote Dan Brady, Republican on June 28th.

  1. Solid B. Points for knowing what office he is running for.

  2. I stopped listening when he said Illinois was ruined. If people feel this way, go away.

  3. I feel like Brady is running a campaign in a bit of a vacuum from the rest of the ILGOP. It seems almost sane and functional. B+ for the ad.

  4. Well unless Brady is going to eliminate reproductive rights, keep Mike Madigan in jail, stop illegals from voting, close our wide open borders, kick Chicago out of Illinois, stop CRT from being taught, stop the thousands of trans HS athletes from overrunning IHSA events and provide an AR 15 all teachers, I just can’t support his woke agenda.

  5. I give it an A- he actually talks about what he wants to do for the office. Brady is by far a better candidate than Milhiser

  6. What in the heck is that music in the background?

Comment by Ainsley Hayes Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 10:07 am

  7. I give it a B. It is what I would expect from Dan Brady which is to say a positive ad, mostly. Dan is one of those politicians he mentions, he has been in the statehouse for a long time now.

  8. B+
Nice to see a commercial with a positive message.

  9. So this one skips his latest voter suppression rap. And we are guessing no would suggest he has fronted every funeral industry bill ever introduced in the GA might blemish that special interest gibberish.

  12. Wow! A guy running for an office and not talking about issues regarding a different office. And he’s a standup guy, he’s got my vote.

Comment by Chicago Guy Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:11 am

  13. What role does the SOS office have in supporting law enforcement, on a practical level? This is a genunine question and I realize I may be missing something here.

Comment by The Young Gov Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:12 am

  14. That picture about 18 seconds into the ad looks like it was taken sometime in the 90s or 2000s.

  15. I like Dan. I’m going to vote for him. The ad’s ok, but it’s getting tedious hearing Republicans whinging about “corruption.” I’m not sure you get to complain about how corrupt Illinois government is when you’ve been a part of Illinois government for 21 years.

Comment by duck duck goose Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:31 am

  16. Its an okay commercial.
Also, Young Gov asks what I was wondering.

    Comment by G'Kar Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:32 am

  17. I thought that was a good ad, focused on the job and presenting him as a solid, experienced candidate. Nice work.

Comment by Soccermom Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:33 am

  18. @young gov- the SOS has its own police force among other things.

Comment by JS Mill Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:36 am

  19. First SOS ad I have seen from anyone that calmly focuses on the office and on public service. I score it an A.

    Comment by Louis G Atsaves Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:40 am

  20. What is his opinion on making giant truck-cranes pay for weight-based truck plates, the same as every other truck in Illinois?

Comment by DuPage Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 11:58 am

  21. How big is the buy? That’s the biggest question.

Comment by Ace Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 12:42 pm

  22. A. focuses on the office. would have been A+ except for the obligatory (it seems) law enforcement mention.

Comment by Amalia Friday, Jun 3, 22 @ 3:05 pm

  23. I’ll give this an ‘A’. It’s a very well done introduction to Dan Brady, and it stays focused on the office and how he wants to improve service to citizens. While I think the line about supporting the police is probably a sop to Trumpers, it’s pretty much buried in the script almost as a throw-away line.

    Good job…
