* Happy Good Friday. My subscriber email out-of-office bouncebacks were quite voluminous this morning, which is a reliable indicator that lots of people have already checked out for the weekend. I’ll probably put in a half-day or so. In the meantime, what’s on your mind today?

  1. Being a single, non-religious person, I always loved going to work on days before major holiday weekends. Regardless of where I worked, half the office would take some time off to be with family, or to prepare for major meals, etc.

It meant that I would have at least one stress-free day where I could be left to my own devices to get caught up on my own work, instead of running around trying to address every random whim someone else came up with that day.
