Super Bowl, what’s that? Didn’t watch it. Not interested in it. Watched golf on CBS until it ended at 6, and the beginning of 60 Minutes, then off the TV went. Also listened to programs on the local Christian radio station that I enjoy on Sunday evenings too.

Was thrilled for Matthew Stafford, “proving” how great of a QB he’s always been, but being stuck in Detroit, Stafford got his chance to shine with the Rams.
Was hoping for the Bengals, but a good consolation prize with Stafford, who has as many Super Bowl wins as Rodgers.

Mayor Langfelder in Springfield is a little too giddy about the impending end of the mask mandate. And shows his disregard for public safety and common sense in the process, as his quote in a Friday SJR story shows. All in time for “Halloween in March” to arrive in Springfield next month.
“‘We’re going to follow the governor’s orders. Right now I’m wearing a mask. On March 1, I won’t be,’ Langfelder said.”
As for me, I will still mask until maybe positivity rates are less than 0.25% in Sangamon County, Region 3 or statewide. Of course, unless it’s still required where I’m at, such as doctor’s office. And even then I may be hesitant when in a store to not wear a mask either, as I consider myself immunocompromised.

Super Bowl was a well played game with the officials taking a let em play attitude until the final two minutes. Was I the only person who saw the Rams illegal movement on the same play Cincinnati got called for defensive holding?
@Flyin Elvis, the 06 Seattle Seahawks can also sympathize with the 08 Cards and the 22 Bengals.

One announcer said Joe Burrow was in his first full year and he was sure Burrow would be back to the Super Bowl. I hope so, but I also remember Dan Marino, he was in the SB his rookie year and never went back.

OW- I believe Rodgers will remain one of 22 names on the One Super Bowl Victory list, along with such stars as Jim McMahon, Doug Williams, Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien and Jeff Hostetler.

Super Bowl is more like “Commercial and Entertainment Fest interrupted occasionally with a Few Guys Playing Football.”

Can never take it away from any of them.
Same for Stafford too.
It’s more about this idea that Stafford has been a terrible QB, while ignoring the franchise he played for in those years.
Detroit has not been close to a Green Bay

Not sure why the Bengals fans are sad today. I had the Bengals +4, so it’s chicken for dinner for me. That botched extra point was the only highlight I’ll remember from this game.

Barring another variant spike, “Halloween in March” will return to downtown Springfield Mar. 12 as the city plans to resume their St. Patricks Day parade after a 2-year COVID hiatus. Too soon to resume this again in my opinion.

Immunocompromised best describes me, even though I’ve never been officially diagnosed as such. Thankful I got both shots and the booster as soon as possible after we were authorized to do so.
If Langfelder continues this attitude I will seriously consider refusing to spend any of my hard earned money in Springfield until he changes his masking stance. Unless it’s unavoidable. And even if he changes his mind I might avoid Springfield shopping as much as possible during the rest of his term as mayor. (But even before the pandemic due to time and convenience I was trying to limit shopping in Springfield as much as possible, after moving to Chatham).
