Isn’t that what Griffin said, something to the effect of showing some fundraising prowess, if you will?

Griffin is in. This is just fluff. Griffin is the dude at the end of Casablanca who didn’t know there was gambling going on. Griffin knows as does the team around Irvin that he’s gonna jump in the deep end with no water wings soon enough. Curious if any big money from Sangamon jumped in for Milhiser yet.

Irvin doesn’t have to be all that smart to parlay Gidwitz Bucks and a short ad buy into more money, tho, even if Griffin doesn’t want to jump in yet.

Well Griffin did say that he hasn’t met Irvin yet. But $1.2M in the bank might warrant and introduction. Or as Ringo once famously said, “I hope we pass the audition.”

You string someone out till they aren’t just needed, they are desperate without them.
Plus, Irvin needed to show some monies outside Griffin’s
Wasn’t it mere weeks ago that Gidwitz was looking for a candidate… Rich had a whole post about it… now Gidwitz lands on Irvin?
So Irvin got Gidwitz and that money on board, that’s a big move to coalesce and dry up cash for another bankrolled candidate…
Now, we’ll wait to see deposits going forward?

Some people have enough wealth and income that potential savings in taxes are way more than their investment in political campaigns. Simple as that.
