Withstood the weather and sat outside smoking some beef on my Traeger wood pellet grill last night. Worth every minute. And got to listen to a Mordlust podcast and play with my best buddy, my dog Jax. And had a satisfying glass of Glühwein when I came in. Wonderful all around.

Class 2A boys basketball teams and fans from Auburn, Riverton, Williamsville, Pleasant Plains, and based on IHSA tourney assignments over the years, all the way to Quincy Notre Dame, Macomb and Farmington can breathe a sigh of relief.

Correction of an IHSA error has moved SHG boys basketball back to 3A where they belong, from 2A. Aurora Christian was also affected (moving from 1A to 2A).

Speculation broke over the weekend that the Bears were pursuing Ohio State HC Ryan Day to replace Nagy after he most likely gets fired Jan. 10. Day has denied the reports:

If the Bears go the college route for their new HC I’d rather see them go after Jim Harbaugh (even though he was no Jim McMahon during his playing days with the Bears):

M.L.L laying the blame for the lack of security on the Mag mile store owners. I for one have tired of her pointing the finger at anyone but me, and have to believe the business community in not going to sit idly by.
