Former state representative and Breakthrough Ideas’ CEO Jeanne Ives presented evidence today that 1,343 DuPage County registered voters no longer lived at their registered DuPage County address when they voted on Nov. 3, 2020.

By law, these votes are fraudulent and invalid, as one cannot vote from an address where one does not reside.
Ives said the 1,343 voters were identified by comparing county voter records to the National Change of Address database; they each filled out forms attesting to the federal government that they had moved prior to September 1, 2020, so the Post Office would forward their mail.
Ives was joined by lead analyst John Morrissey of Elmhurst (?), who explained the process by which his team produced the analysis. […]
Here is an example:
State Voter ID 2J7HR72Y changed addresses in March 2020 from Hinsdale to Naples Florida according to the NCOA. We verified through the County Treasurer’s office that property owned by that individual for which the individual was registered to vote from, was sold in March 2020. We have a match with the NCOA that the voter moved and a match from the Treasurer’s office that the voter sold the home. Voter records show that the voter, though, voted by mail using the Hinsdale address in November 2020. This voter remains on the latest voter list.

Adam Johnson, spokesman for DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek, said in a statement the office follows federal law in maintaining its voter rolls, using everything from death certificates to undeliverable mail to biannual change of address notifications to keep the list up to date.
He said the one voter Ives highlighted at her news conference — a person who allegedly moved to Florida from Hinsdale but still listed the old address while voting by mail — notified the clerk’s office months before the election that they had moved elsewhere within DuPage County and cast the proper ballot.
Snowbirds often have their mail forwarded.

So, people can have two residences, but as long as they only vote in their primary, even though that ballot is forwarded to their secondary, everything is kosher?
Aside from everyone other than Ives, who knew?

I’ve spoken with a fair amount of elderly constituents that have called our office. Some were at their winter homes in FL, and were stuck there because of covid. They were concerned about losing their property tax deductions. My guess is this is what’s happening, at least to some degree.
Ives has an uncanny ability to cause a sideshow, nevermind the reality.

When you have decided there is rampant voter fraud before you start your “analysis,” it makes the analysis a lot easier.

I’d be curious to know if the NCOA database delineates between temporary or permanent Change of Address because the USPS website specifically lists them as separate categories which would make the Snowbird example moot. USPS: “If you’re moving, submit a permanent change-of-address request so your USPS® mail is properly rerouted to your new address. If you’re only relocating for a short time to visit your second home or do an extended stay with relatives, submit a temporary change-of-address request so you can receive your mail while you’re away for 15 days up to 1 year.”

The goal of this nonsense is to sow distrust in the system. It doesn’t matter if it’s supported by facts. So on that account Ives has accomplished her goal. Instead of defending the existing process we should be attacking her motivations and attempts to delegitimize elections.

You may end up filing in multiple states, my kids had to file in both the state they go to school in and Illinois.

Let’s pretend for a second that there is some huge voter fraud conspiracy swinging elections (there isn’t, but let’s pretend). Wouldn’t it be far more efficient to move votes from dark-blue Illinois to purplish Florida instead of the other way around?

If you do a search for “National Change of Address database”, there are a number of services that pop up - one of which is NationalChangeOfAddress.com, which says it’s not affiliated with the USPS. Would be interesting to find out which National Change of Address service Ives and company used.

Did Ives/Breakthrough Ideas check the Circuit Court in Florida to see if Voter ID 2J7HR72Y filed with the Court establishing residency in Florida?
Did Ives & Co check the appropriate local election official in Florida to see if Voter ID 2J7HR72Y registered to vote in Florida, and voted last year in the general election?
I’d think Ives would have revealed this if she had done the due diligence.

If you read the Tribune blurb right above the situation is explained as the person moved their permanent residence within DuPage County and notified the Clerk.

To Lucky Pierre, CNN “poll of polls” on Nov. 2, 2020 showed Biden winning 49% to 46%. 538 analysis showed Biden’s odds of winning Illinois 99 out of 100, and Biden’s odds of winning Florida 69 out of 100.

The issue was that the county clerk never updated the voter’s address from Hinsdale to the new address in DuPage even after being contacted. At the time of the vote, the address per the registration record remained at the old Hinsdale residence.
