Rodney Davis getting himself nominated by Kevin McCarthy to the Jan. 6 commission seems like a curious place to be for someone who actually wants to run for governor of Illinois.

Who else is waiting on their Illinois tax refund? Bugs me that we have to pay by a date certain but the state can take its own sweet time sending us our refunds.

In the mid 8th inning of the Cubs-Cards tilt, I was getting multiple texts from multiple Cardinals fans… memes especially…
That 9th inning was so enjoyable. I could feel the melting through texts.
Concur. Completely. Both clubs (Cubs, Cardinals) are pretty terrible. Going to be long dog days of summer left.
So I guess what’s on my mind… why not wait till it’s over before the memes begin? It made the comeback last night far more sweeter

Is it me or does it seem the over 40 year sentence for the getaway driver for the Hadiya Pendelton shooting seems excessive when compared to people who actually pull the trigger in cook county don’t seem to get that much time if and when Kim Fox decides to prosecute? I guess I’m jaded, or maybe it’s just high profile cases the judicial system feels the need to actually punish people to say look how well the system works.

Thanks, but I was referring to non-high-profile cases and the lite sentences shooters seem to get in those.
