I don’t know who needs to hear this, but today’s a good day to remember to watch the rollercoaster, don’t ride it. #twill

  2. For an Illinois politics junkie like myself, this week is like Christmas. Thank you to all of the journalists for the work you do.

  4. This afternoon, I will be headed to Symphony Center for my first indoor cultural event since March, 2020. Slightly nervous, but it sounds as though the CSO is doing everything possible to ensure safety and social distancing, for performers and audience. It will be nice to be back.

  5. Agreed, thanks to all the journalists and to Rich for keeping the blog open.

On my mind is how many interesting twists to a primary, the congressional map, and the possible “readjust” to legislative maps will be coming in the days ahead.

So much is done. Son much is still left to the “undone”

  6. The lead article in the Tribune today was pretty lame. It contends that the current legislative situation is somehow worse than under Madigan. Democrats are accused of “maintaining their control of Springfield, rewarding their allies and advancing social policies.”

Well, as the old saying goes, elections have consequences. The voters gave the Ds supermajorities and they are using those as intended.
