  1. I got my first Covid shot yesterday. Feeling achy today, but that’s okay. That means it’s working. Happy I was able to get it.

Happy Friday to all. Have a good weekend.

  2. Does Porter Moser stay at Loyola or does he leave for a bigger coaching position?

With Lon Kruger retiring at Oklahoma, I think they might come calling. Indiana open too, but I think they want to make a bigger splash.

  4. Notice how the Indiana coaching search has gone pretty silent? Could their target still be coaching but contact has been established and mutual interest confirmed? Just saying.

He stays put, or goes to Marquette.

  7. Not missing I 55, but also not loving remote legislative hearings, for a plethora of reasons.

  9. Next Tuesday is the 2-week date past my 2nd shot. Made reservations last night to take my already-past-her-two-week-date wife out on the town.

  11. Loyola going to need a donor to step up big time to keep Moser. Not sure what is taking DePaul so long in their coaching search. The AD is a Kentucky guy so I figured it would be filled with some other Kentucky guy by now. Would be surprised if they are a player in the Moser sweepstakes.

  12. Got an automated poll call likely from JB yesterday asking about JB performance on COVID and opening schools back up. Waiting for a press release on that soon.

No, It’s about the TV money. For a NCAA tournament quality program, the money is in the tens of millions. I don’t know what LU ‘s TV package is.

  14. If Porter Moser goes anywhere, it won’t be Marquette. Per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, they’re hiring Shaka Smart.

Of course, DePaul has never been the same since the Ray Meyer powerhouse era ended.

Should Loyola and DePaul swap conferences? DePaul to the Missouri Valley and Loyola to the Big East?

  16. Moser’s not going to Marquette. CBS Sports is reporting that MU has reached an agreement with Shaka Smart.

That would be a minimum of 16 people.

  19. I hope Indiana does not realize how great of a coach Moser would be for them. Him having access to all Indiana kids and then doing well with Chicago kids would be a UofI nightmare.

  20. Former Chicago Bulls, and then Bradley University, head basketball coach Stan Albeck has passed away at age 89. Albeck is a native of Chenoa, IL.
