    Almost there myself. About 90 days.

  3. Snowy day in Springfield, and there is ice on the roads from the freezing rain. Be careful all.

  4. Cold and gray morning just minutes south of Chicago. No rain or snow yet. Whither Green Bay? Aaron Rodgers unhappy? Bears staff shuffles continue. Why are we reopening businesses and talking about school sports when Covid is still booming, and new strains here? Foolishness.

  5. Bears fans get the satisfaction of a Packers loss in the NFC championship game yesterday. Ten years ago it was not pleasant, losing the NFC title game at home to Green Bay.

    Comment by Grandson of Man Monday, Jan 25, 21 @ 9:30 am

  6. It’s Grossmanly unfair to compare Aaron Rodgers to Rex.

    Both with one NFC Championship, but the Bears are no better without Rex then they were with him.

    At least the Bears beat the Bucs, amirite?

  7. If the highlight to your NFL season is watching a divisional foe, who has dominated your team for years, lose the conference championship, you must be a Bears fan.

  8. Ugh - freezing rain. Like the man said, “It’s gonna be a looooong Monday. Stuck like the tick of a clock that’s come unwound. Again.”

  9. ==Almost there myself. About 90 days. ==

    January 26, 2027 for me… Not that I’m counting:)

  10. But I’m also a football fan. Rodgers and Favre are better than any QB we ever had. Why do exhibit so much hate for GB? They are a classy organization.

    Its embarrassing that all we cheer is for GB to lose. It’s a loser’s mindset… Well, I think I answered my own question. Heh-heh.

  11. it was like choose or die yesterday, loathsome Brady vs. the Packers.

    Comment by Amalia Monday, Jan 25, 21 @ 10:00 am

  12. ===They are a classy organization===

    Somebody on Twitter said yesterday that the Packers are the Notre Dame of the NFL. They get a lot of passes for their “reputation.”

  13. A classy organization?

    Hmmmm.

  14. Bucs had their hands all over the Packers receivers like the Packer defensive men have had their hands on all the other teams they’ve played. They were beat at their own game

  15. === Packers are the Notre Dame of the NFL.===

    That’s some serious honesty to the results.

    === If the highlight to your NFL season is watching a divisional foe, who has dominated your team for years, lose the conference championship, you must be a Bears fan.===

    Remember, fan is short for fanatic. Rational thought goes out the window to feelings, lol.

    The Bears, watching yesterday, they are not of the playing class of any of the 4 organizations that were playing. Too many holes, bad decisions by the front office and then those bad decisions are on the field or wearing a headset. That’s some serious honesty too.

  16. “Rational thought goes out the window”

    True.
    The Chicago Bears fan base won their Super Bowl yesterday.

  17. All I can say today after the games yesterday:

    Go Chiefs

  18. Unless I’ve missed it mentioned here or elsewhere before, does anyone know when the Governor will have his State of the State address? (Traditionally it’s been the last Wednesday of January, which this coming Wednesday will be). Will Pritzker have it as a “press conference” format at the time he would normally have given the address in person? Perhaps with Zoom screens with images of all GA members and constitutionals in the background “watching.”

  19. For a lift on a dreary day, just watched the YouTube version of the Super Bowl Shuffle and the 1985 Chicago Bears.

    It never gets old.

  20. ===It never gets old. ===

    Strongly, strongly disagree.

  21. What is this “football” you write about?

    The Blackhawks took two from the Red Wings. Sunday’s game was on NBC. Some very solid performances from players new and old. Hopeful they will sort out the goalie position; Lankinen looked pretty good yesterday.

    Hockey, hockey, hockey :-)
