It’s Friday with blue skies here in the Capitol City. And it sounds like the people on the ground floor of the capitol will actually be able to see the sun instead of plywood. Nice way to start the weekend.

Nice to drive past the Statehouse this morning and not see armed members of the military protecting the seat of Illinois government.

Kudos to ISP, SOS, SPD, NG, Sangamon County Deputies and others who have stood watch over the Cap. Complex in the last week. Job well done. Much appreciated.

The Blackhawks gave us 3 cups. For those that were kids and listened on the radio for home games, you never dreamed of the last 10 years. I hope we get real bad real fast, the only way up.

NBC Universal will be shutting down their national NBC Sports Network by the end of this year:

This move doesn’t affect the Comcast Sports Net Chicago or other Comcast local sports channels.

Although the article said shows will be split between USA Network and Peacock streaming, it doesn’t say if NBCSN is going to rebrand as something else.

Unlikely we’ll get a discount from Comcast from the loss of NBCSN.
