Question of the day

Posted in:

* Commenter Lucky Pierre last Friday on a post about Secretary of State Jesse White

Call me crazy but as far as the most popular politician, Illinois is still the Land of Lincoln not the Land of White

My response

Maybe, but Abe never won all 102 counties.

lol

* I just spoke to Secretary White on the phone a few minutes ago and we had a good laugh about that comment. His people sent me this pic shortly after my conversation…

* The Question: Caption?

  52. Yeah idk about that popularity rating in light of him closing all downtown offices for the last year while enacting the “Real ID” program. Recently drove out to the burbs to renew, after completing the pre-registration mind you, and the process took two hours. No joke there was a paid employee dusting counters while the line stretched around the block.

    He may have been a popular politician at some point but his office is a mess. Clean it up dude.

  53. Uh huh, yeah, uh huh…listen Mike, I get it. I do. You had no knowledge. Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. Uh huh, OK, but you should put that in the statement. Right. Just say something like, here, do you have a pen? Say the indictment- quote- alleges no criminal conduct on my part, nor does it allege I had knowledge of any criminal conduct by others-unquote. Boom. Done.

    Uh huh, sure thing. No need to thank me. Happy to help. Anytime. You too. Good luck.
