* As we’ve already discussed, he barely campaigned at all…

Congratulations to Ms. Ness! I truly wish her well. The demographics of the suburbs are changing because many Republicans are moving to TN, FL, and TX. They are leaving for lower taxes, booming economies, better schools, and less crime. Chicago runs Illinois now.

As subscribers know, it looks like the House Republicans picked up a net of two seats yesterday. If he had actually worked, maybe he woulda won.

  2. @allenskillicorn, time to toss that “bug-out” bag into the pick-up. You’re needed on the Mexican border, sir.

  3. Picked up a net of two.
Would not have predicted that, considering the amount of pro-dem TV ads I saw during the morning news and how Biden did in the state I would think that is a disappointment for the Dems.

  4. FL just voted to increase their minimum wage to 15 bucks an hour by 2026.

    Bunch of socialists.

  9. Skillicorn: “I’m going to stick it to the Chicago Democrats by losing my seat to…the chicago democrats.”

He really is a self serving doofus. HGOP keeps that seat if he steps down and they appoint that female McHenry County Board member.

  10. = HGOP keeps that seat if he steps down and they appoint that female McHenry County Board member=

For certain. He only lost by 3 points and he literally quit the race.

This is yet another Rauner screw up. He went with Skillecorn over her in the primary because Rauner was then, and is now, a political neophyte.

The fall from Mike Tryon to Allen Skillecorn was palpable from day one.

  12. Good thing he spent so much time and energy defeating that candidate who ran in the primary who could have won. Only “Real Republicans” lose their seats!

  13. “they appoint that female McHenry County Board member”

But there’s the rub now isn’t it? in a conservative area they wanted to appoint somebody who is considerably less conservative.

With massive TV help she barely beat somebody who didn’t even bother to phone it in.

Plenty of conservatives they could have chosen from he would have gotten out in time, easy keep.

This one is on the party goofs who couldn’t be bothered to appoint somebody who actually reflected the district.

  18. I made fun of him on twitter once, and he thought I was agreeing with him. Can’t wait until he somehow gets his own right-wing radio show.

If he really plans to move to TN, FL, or TX, Illinois will be losing one of its dimmest stars.

  19. Wow. People encouraged that we added seats to the democrat party in Illinois which already has a super majority….. yes ignorance is in full supply time to move. This state is done.
