I’m going to spend the day making calls in support of the Fair Tax. Most years I am not doing outreach on election day. That and gathering all the comfort food and alcohol necessary to make it through. My apologies to those that show up at the liquor/grocery store after me.

Retired, so no work for the first election in years. Voted by mail in September, so for me the election is long over. Afternoon in tree stand.

I plan on putting on a mask and going to vote. I miss the voting early I did in Illinois. The other difference is that I’ll be babysitting my grandson while his mom and dad vote.

Will be different for me this year. I’ve always voted on election day in the past, but this year I voted by mail. Will miss the celebratory “I voted” doughnut I usually treat myself with from the shop near my voting place!

Already voted early in person. Probably work around the house on a few needed repairs.

Thought about going to a campaign party I got an invite to but decided to skip it. Will try to ignore the early returns but expect I will tune in at some point.

Probably have a drink depending on the results.

I work for a stock broker-dealer and manage a team that has orders 24 hours 5 days a week, so I’ll be checking the markets and checking in with my overnight guys to see if stuff hits the fan. We’re not allowing any days off this week (except family emergencies).

Going to drive to and from central Wisconsin to see my grandson (1st grandchild) who was born on 10/29/2020. I’m retired but wife still works so with her new day off (thank you ) we are taking advantage since we couldn’t wait until this weekend. 1st time we early voted as our custom was vote on election day after work, together and then go out for dinner. We are not always on the same sides of the political theater so dinner and drinks afterwards was our way to call it quits till the next show.

I voted early at the county, but this year is different because I will be taking my daughter to vote (day of) for her first time!

Already voted, but that isn’t new. This year I will be phone banking all day for Biden in battleground states. Didn’t do enough in 2016, but this time I’ve been much more engaged and involved since March.

Already voted. Will run errands, do items around the house. Watch the beginning results in a different room from my spouse. Explain repeatedly that the media doesn’t decide the election even if they think so. The elections are not certified for a couple weeks due to items like military votes showing up after Nov 3rd.

I have already voted in person. So work during the day and clarinet in the nighttime. If I must read election coverage, I’ll checkout the dw.com feed and see what they have to say. And I’ll probably be getting noticias from Univision throughout the evening as well which I might or might not read.

I will be taking my dad to our polling place and we’ll be doing our civic duty. This in and of itself is different, because only 4 (excruciatingly long) years ago, my dad would refuse help carrying a refrigerator down the steps, but now it takes a yeoman’s effort to get him out of bed.

After I vote, I will go home and watch the returns with my wife and drink good bourbon.

That’s different, in that every other year I’ve walked from my polling place to a watering hole near the L and watched the returns from there.

I voted by mail. I enjoy the rituals of Election Day, but I got Covid in the Spring and think it may have been from voting, or maybe I had it and gave it to other while voting. Either way, I’m not doing that this year.

I will probably having an extra, extra strong drink and praying for the best.

Vote early, then start drinking. The plan is to be blackout drunk before the polls close so that I can pass out and miss the next 24 hours of pain, fear and loathing. I hope to wakeup sometime late Wednesday to find out what happened.

Most likely, whatever it is will still be happening.

I voted early, which is rare for me. I like going to the polls, but due to a couple of appointments and not knowing what the wait will be, I decided not to risk it.

It will be sad that I won’t be able to give you a precinct report, but, honestly, with so many people voting by mail and early voting, I’m not sure those tell us too much any more.

I expect I’ll watch some of the returns, but I don’t really expect we’ll know the outcomes of a lot of the races for a while yet.

We voted early. I’m eating Halloween candy, no trick or treaters. Will call for Casten today and tomorrow. I’m hoping for Biden, Casten, Fair Tax wins but preparing for the worst. I’ll be marching to count every vote on Wednesday.

Voted early. Will likely do a few hours of office work followed by some work around the house. Maybe get out and hit a few golf balls if time permits before coming home and pouring a stiff drink to prepare for election night.

Will be at the polls at 5:00AM to start my all day gig as an election judge. After I get home, the biggest difference for me tomorrow night from previous election nights is that I plan to get most of my results online from several decision desk sources I trust. I am going to forego the network TV and cable yapping this year as it drove me bonkers in 2016 and I expect the talking heads to be even worse and more annoying this year.

Voted weeks ago. I haven’t done carryout in a couple of weeks so I’ll probably get something to eat and continue my Time Team marathon on Amazon. I don’t plan to look at the news until Wednesday, but as others have said, that may not work.

Gonna take my daughter on a self guided tour of UIC in the AM. Then head home and help my Rep. take signs down in the Starved Rock area. Then home to watch results with a cold one. No watch party this time around.

I will be a pollwatcher again, however I will not stay in the poll all day. I will stop in throughout the day to pick vote totals at a couple of locations. I’ll miss the banter between the judges.

The Aurora Election Commission no longer exists so I will not be spending election day there. I was in Canada 4 years ago which gave me an interesting perspective on election night.
This time going to be in the basement ready to deal with things that might come up at work.

Vote early, take family member to doctor appointments the rest of the day, then maybe a large pizza in front of the TV.

This is the first time and the first election in 26 years that I have not been involved in any campaigns as a Precinct Committeeperson . I finally “retired” from that responsibility, but I do miss it. A few health issues and the virus have not helped matters.

I did vote early and have been able to maintain a 50 year personal record of having never missed voting in any election.

But to the question - I have several bottles of good wine that I expect to “enjoy” as I follow the craziness as it develops.

Voted weeks ago. I work for a small social media site, so I’ll be on duty in the evening cleaning up after people trying to set the internet on fire by acting like jerks in text and memes. Also hanging around my work slack watching the returns with everyone else who’s on duty that night, which is most of us, because we anticipate a high volume of jerkery.

I voted early so I’ll be spending the day hiking or bike riding (I’m retired).

What’s different this year is that I won’t watch the news, but I’m keeping my computer by my side (while I watch a Netflix program that will keep my mind away from the craziness) so that I can periodically check what’s going on. I already have a bottle of Grey Goose chilling in the freezer for election night, so I am all set.

Voted early. Will pick up new reading glasses Tuesday morning, the better to stare at my laptop’s screen as results come in that night. As usual, will join a small group of trusted friends and fellow politics geeks to watch returns. Food, beer, and whiskey will definitely be involved, perhaps also some champagne.

Voted a month ago. Gotta buncha episodes of Barn Wood Builders and Maine Cabin Masters saved up. May occassionaly pop into the results channels to see which pundit is going over the top with analysis.

My wife and I voted early. We both work for a state higher ed institution, so we’re off work along with the kids. I plan on sitting down and watching Coco with the family. Regardless of how it all shakes out by the end of the night (even if the “night” is 3 months long), it’s good to remember what’s important.

I voted early, II had requested and received a mail in ballot but I was disturbed by Trump’s comments about mail in voting. So I surrendered my mail ballot to vote in person early, same as the primary.
