  2. Appears the orange traffic barrels between the Auburn and Toronto Rd exits on I55 have once again reproduced and scattered their offspring across area.

  3. Voting starts. Make yours count. And for bonus points, vote the way I want you to vote. Of course, those bonus points are about as valuable as S&H Green Stamps are these days…

  4. As soon as I get my ballot, I’ll be voting straight D and “yes” on the Fair Tax amendment, then taking it to a drop box (The Tribune has a handy drop box map).

  5. Early voting starts today in DuPage County. Gotta get to the fairgrounds by noon. Can’t make it today but probably will go tomorrow.

  6. I haven’t decided yet whether to vote by mail or vote early. I suppose I can take my mail in ballot to a polling place, fill it out there and drop it in the box if there’s a line.

  7. The two Chicago baseball teams seem to be backing into the playoffs.

  8. I early-voted this AM. It was easily the most people I’ve ever seen at the early voting station in my community.

I noticed that the constitutional convention question was easy to miss on the left side of the ballot and it blended it with the general voting instructions.

  9. “When we get more houses than we can live in, more cars than we can ride in, more food than we can eat ourselves, the only way of getting richer is by cutting off those who don’t have enough. If everybody has more than enough, what good is my more-than-enough?” — Nelson Algren

  10. I plan to take my mail-in ballot to my early voting place and vote there with a paper ballot. I will not contribute to the post-election chaos that may ensue because of absentee ballots, unless my life depends on it. Even then, I may still in-person vote. Will there ever be an end to the madness in this country or will we simply spiral out of control?

  11. I encourage every to vote early if at all possible. While I have no concerns about the safety and legitimacy of mail in voting, I have no doubt that it will be weaponized to cast doubt on the election results. I can envision a scenario where someone claims victory on election night with a significant number of ballots to be counted. Voting early or election day is the best way to counter that.

  12. I’m waiting for election day and will be voting for the best candidates regardless of party affiliation. Will also vote ‘yes’ on Fair Tax.

  13. Planning to pick my son up from college this weekend and both of us vote early next Monday or Tuesday. My first time voting early, his first vote ever. I signed up to be an election judge in my local precinct to take the pressure off the regular veterans who may not want to risk it if COVID spikes in November. No excuses this time, folks.
