Ordered carryout from my favorite bbq place yesterday. Walked in to see the restaurant packed. I think Covid fatigue has officially set in. Things could get ugly once again.

Spent the weekend doing yard work I think we are in for an early Fall, tomatoes already shutting down and cool mornings.

My wife painted the stairs going down to the basement so my commute now looks a little different.

I went out and bought new sofas - desperately needed and there was a sale.

I thought about going for a walk on the lakefront, but as about half the city seemed to have the same idea, I changed my mind.

Brats and sweet corn for dinner.

Smoked chicken on my Traeger along with an andouille sausage/tomato & chile riced cauliflower side (my place is a low carb joint). Nursing a sick puppy (she’s 15 and we’re in the just make her comfortable phase of life). Played tons of fetch in the backyard with my younger pup.

Went in one business over the weekend, a pet supply store in Westmont. Everyone socially distanced, every single person masked. Partner says same is true in grocery in Oak Park and home improvement store in Broadview.

Brutal afternoon at daughter’s deck with burgers/dogs and stealing Doritos from 5 year old granddaughter. Just exhausting.
