  1. Glorious morning especially seeing how Michelle Obama pretty much single handedly won the election for Biden with her skewering of Trump last night.

  2. ===more fair===

    “Alternative Facts”?

Hope everyone is well, the Bears released a statement, no fans for the foreseeable future, it appears.

We’ll be lucky to have Bears’ football. Fans in the stands, yikes. Glad that’s a “no”

  3. “”be polite to each other”" is virtue signaling?

  4. @WAlker: I’m guessing 9:15 am never lobbied for Com Ed, either

  5. Congressperson Lauren Underwood never once communicated support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Never once mentions the plight of African Americans victimized by law enforcement. No mention of George Floyd. A search of both her Facebook accounts have nothing posted. Sure hope she isn’t pandering to the wrong element in her district. We really need all of our leaders to support justice.

  6. Rich always tells his poster to be polite to one another. It’s not really virtue signalling more like a request/command.

that’s ok. The bears will be socially distanced from the play offs, before socially distancing Pace and Nagy from Halas Hall in late december.

  9. I know it is a long way off, but anyone have thoughts who might try for Jesse White’s spot in ‘22?

  11. Will Illinois be applying for the Lost Wages Assistance Program ?

  12. Well it seems the Bailey camp must have hit some hard times. He’s claiming since Governor Pritzker went Judge shopping and got himself one he’s not going to stop fighting for all of our liberties. So he’s started a fundraiser to generate money to cover the expenses. You know getting back all those lose liberties in Sangamon County are much more expensive than in Clay County.

I thought maybe he could use some of his government farm money he gets, but I guess not.

  13. We are in that glorious part of late summer where crickets and cicadas vie for dominance in their evening concerts.

  14. Weather is gorgeous. I imagine the State Fair would have posted attendence records. Mrs RNUG and son and grandkids are off to hit all the fair food vendors that are scattered around town. Mrs and I got some of the taffy and mini-donuts last night.

Think I’ll take tomorrow off from working on house, get the classic car out, and go for a drive around north western Illinois.

  15. == anyone have thoughts who might try for Jesse White’s spot in ‘22? ==

That is an interesting question. Maybe Rich could make it a QOTD?

  17. The biggest dump truck I’ve ever seen is parked across the street at the corner of my block and a busy street, and guys in little trucks are picking up tree limbs and putting them in the big truck. Many children are watching.

  18. Forget the race for SOS in ‘22. Jesse is retiring next year, after the two year point, so the Gov can appoint his pre-ordained successor. I think the real question should be who will be appointed to SOS next year. Maybe the follow up question could be who will run against the blessed candidate in ‘22.

  19. Our region starts tier 1 mitigation options today. Unfortunately some of the businesses will not follow through & most of our GOP legislators are not supportive.

We already had acquaintances tell us that last night their wedding reception venue called and said they take 150 guests for the reception. Tier 1 mitigation states 25 is the limit. They’ve rescheduled for next July.

I’m impressed. Facebook is such a (banned word) show staying off it is a sign of intelligence.

  21. No Bears fans in the stands. Good. Covid doesn’t need the help. Dan Webb claims Kim Foxx and Co. didn’t do anything illegal, but abused their discretion (banned punctuation). Power remains ON, and cleanup continues in many areas. Jesse White will run in 2022 unless he is no more. Da Big Bad Wolf is right; staying off Facebook is a good thing. Stay safe, mask up, wash your hand, stay home if possible.
