From April 17 to 26 we conducted a large, 50 state survey, the results of which are presented in this report. The first section of the report looks at the nation as a whole while the second section focuses on individual states and comparisons across states.
We surveyed 22,912 individuals across all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. The survey was conducted on 17-26 April 2020 by PureSpectrum via an online, nonprobability sample, with state-level representative quotas for race/ethnicity, age and gender. In addition to balancing on these dimensions, we reweighted our data using the same demographic characteristics.
A bit old, but there’s a lot of data to cover. We’ll start with the non-political stuff.
* These are only the Illinois results, which had somewhere around 590-600 responses, depending on the question…

For a person so consumed about pensions, you don’t think between homemakers and retirees… they can’t help that number be 30%

I think I can see 4% not being affected. In deeply rural areas where they are essentially ignoring social distancing. If you don’t eat out often or go to church, your other minimal interactions at the grocery store or bank are not much affected. I don’t think it’s the wealthy among uswho are unaffected. If you look at the wealthy celebrities on you tube, they all appear to be just as upset and stir crazy as the rest of us.

Orphans? Possibly some smart appliances responded to the poll. We are fairly sure the fridge is out to get us.

As a retiree, I can’t say I have been that impacted. Major differences are not getting to see the grandkids every day as they walk to and home from school, and not being able to eat out with friends … that’s what retired folks do (banned punctuation).
But I will say going to the ER is wholely different now. Had to pick up a friend that was being treated for injuries from a car wreck. They had so little traffic the pre-screener on the curb knew exactly who I was there to take home.

So, 450 people (on average) polled for each state, with re-weighting. Can anybody figure out how many were actually polled in each state? I can’t find it?
