  2. It doesn’t show on the IDPH map, but the Coles County Health Department is reporting its first confirmed case as well.

  3. McLean County reports 4 new residents tested positive. There are now 48. A note on their website states that IDPH uses stats submitted by noon for their daily report. 2 of the 4 now reported were submitted later than noon.

  4. Thanks for graphing, Diver Down. It is mildly encouraging that the number of deaths reported has dropped slightly from before and remained steady for the last 3 days. This contrasts with the Washington model that projects much higher daily deaths peaking mid April. Time will tell.

  5. Number of cases 1,006 up from 899 reported on yesterday. These numbers make me wish I took statistics class in college more seriously.

  6. On the interactive IDPH case zip code map (http://dph.illinois.gov/covid19/statistics), why are they not listing those zip codes with fewer than five cases reported? Does this mean there were confirmed cases involving people from those communities?

In the Springfield area this involves city zip codes 62703 (east side), 62704 (West/Near West side), 62707 (rural Springfield areas north of Jefferson/Clear Lake).

As well as Chatham (zip code 62629), Sherman (62684), and Williamsville (62693).

  7. The figures will never be completely corrct because everyone who has died was not tested for the virus. Plus a lot of people may have the virus but not sick from it.

  8. I am considered an essential employee. I have to show up at the office all day. but in our office there are more than 10 people in our work area, no gloves, no masks, no hand sanitizer. Other employees comming in and out all day just loitering around waiting for for their work from home equipment. I no longer feel safe working for DHS.
