A bit of news before I go. Background is here if you need it. Mark Maxwell…

At an event in Peoria, @GovPritzker pledges to veto a bill that passed the House unanimously that would forgive $50m in private jet shops’ unpaid sales taxes. A 2010 tax break for the jet repair shops retired in 2014, they never collected it, paid it. He says that money is owed. pic.twitter.com/UDZCBkFtSp

  1. WBEZ just reported a BWW in Oswego had a similar incident to the one in Naperville, but didn’t report any details.

Good work by Elizabeth Austin and John Patterson. They are two solid folks, and doing this independently, wow.

  7. How about the Illini (the football team)? I have to confess that prior to the Wisconsin game, I was on the bandwagon to fire Lovie. I have done a 180. They may not be ready for Alabama, but they are playing well and the defense is entertaining.

  11. I’ll say it’s owed. How in the heck can it be that this money went uncollected? It is outrageous. I worked for a business that went through a sales tax audit and they scrounged around in the books for several months to come up with about $13,000 owed by an enterprise with about 3 million in annual revenue, but they let 50 million go uncollected. Ridiculous. But sadly not that surprising.
