What a great man! When I worked on staff, I first met Dick as he worked on a bill for one of his clients. It was a minor bill, in the grand scheme of things, but it was vitally important for his client. Dick would follow up every week and ask if we needed anything, how he could help, and give us any tidbits he found useful.
After that bill, we would continue to keep in touch and he even gave me a booklet on his times in war as a POW and his trip back to Europe a few years back. He is a man of great integrity and a wonderful human being who served our country and state honorably.

So glad to hear that Mr. Lockhart is doing better. For many years Don Moss (my predecessor/mentor) & Dick Lockhart would brag they are the oldest lobbyist in Springfield…Mr. Lockhart holds that title alone now. Wishing he and his family the very best!
