Self driving cars are not that far off and there needs to be some serious thought about how to decide which ones get on the road instead of waiting for bodies to pile up.

Self driving cars can reduce accidents I believe. Distracted driving etc. Will accidents go to zero? No. Will self driving cars kill less people than are killed in auto accidents now? That is the question.

I can’t see self driving vehicles ever working unless we also build a whole separate infrastructure for them, their own highways, parking lots, etc.
How can a machine ever react to all the nuances on a typical crowded city street?
