* Except for bill signings, this is normally one of the worst times of the year for yours truly to find stories. Campaigns haven’t yet started, people are on vacation, news is generally slow and my old pontoon boat looks a lot more inviting. The Illinois State Fair doesn’t start for a week and Governor’s Day and Republican Day are about two weeks away.
So, I’m gonna take the rest of this week off and probably all or most of next week.
One of the nice things about this blog is that it kinda lives and breathes on its own. You have the RSS feeds and the Twitter feeds on the right side of the page, and there’s the live coverage post just below this one. You’ll be fine.
If you have a State Fair event you want publicized, please make sure to send me an email and I’ll put it in my annual compilation when I return.
Until then, take care and try to get some rest and relaxation. I know I will.
